What the app does
- Photos by patient: pick a patient or add a new one and start taking pictures
- Warns about a blurry photo right after it is taken, before it is saved
- Saves as a JPG image or as a PDF document
- Automatically reduces each photo to about 1.5 MB so it does not clog the disk or attachments
- The photo is saved in a folder on the practice computer, named with the patient’s surname, date and time
- The phone is paired with the computer by QR code and sends photos encrypted; no other device can send or read them
- Once sent, the photo is deleted from the phone
- The phone finds the computer on the practice network by itself
- Photos stay on the practice network and are not sent to any cloud
How it works
- 1We install the MediShot Server program on the practice computer and set up the photo folder.
- 2We install the app on an Android phone or tablet and activate the licence.
- 3The nurse picks a patient, takes the photo and it is on the computer within seconds.
Who it is for
Practices and outpatient clinics that photograph wounds, skin findings or the course of healing and want the photos with the patient on the computer, not on a nurse’s personal phone.
Frequently asked questions
- Why is there a form before the download?
- We install and configure MediShot ourselves so that patient photos only go where they should. Once you send the request, we will get in touch, agree the terms and send you the installation.
- Which devices does it run on?
- The app runs on Android phones and tablets. The program that stores the photos runs on a Windows computer on the practice network.
- Where are the photos stored?
- In a folder on the practice computer. Each file carries the patient’s surname, date and time. The app does not send photos outside the practice network and deletes them from the phone once they are sent.
